2015 was a busy year for the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce! We have so many things to be proud of thanks to our members, volunteers & amazing community support. Below are some of the highlights of what happened in the KACC...

*During our 2-day membership drive in April, we added 69 new members, adding to our total of 142 new members in 2015!

*We held 37 Ribbon Cuttings for our businesses.

*The KACC holds a Four-Star Accreditation rating with the US Chamber of Commerce. Of 7,000 Chambers in the country only 199 are accredited.

*We launched a new networking event, Coffee & Company, held once a month and hosted by various businesses. Over 500 attended!

*Developed an orientation program called Chamber 101 reaching over 200 businesses and educating them on programs & benefits the Chamber provides.

*Sold over $187,000 Buffalo Bucks -- keeping shoppers buying local!

*Improvements were made to our website to make it mobile & user friendly. Now we average over 120,000 visits each month!

*The "Buy Here" business card was produced to hand out to Chamber members when patronizing their place of business to recognize and thank them for their support.

*The 2nd annual Oktoberfest exceeded expectations with over 2,500 in attendance.

*Developed a program to address member retention called "Chamber Check-Ins". Staff & Board reach out to members, discuss their needs and thank them for supporting the Chamber.

*Community Connections, Eggs & Issues and Tri-City Legislative Luncheons are all a part of the Chamber's advocacy efforts for local businesses. These events provide attendees with updates from local leaders and office holders.

*Ag Appreciation Night with the Tri-City Storm and the Ag Breakfast with Live Remote continues to grow and raise money for area student scholarships and agriculture related programs.

*Chamber YOUniversity brought nationally known speakers, Bill Drury and Glenn Shepard to Kearney to hold seminars attended by over 200 people.

*The 96th Annual Meeting was a grand event with UNL Athletic Director, Shawn Eichorst, speaking to a crowd of over 700.

*The Kearney App continues to be a great community resource with a new reward program developed to engage members at Chamber events.

With a total membership of 906 in support of our Chamber, we look forward to "Connecting People" and progressing forward in 2016! Here's to another great year!
