The Colonels Club is a men’s group whose purpose is to serve as a public relations arm of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Colonels Club does this is by supporting the “Doing Business” award, attending and promoting ribbon cuttings, grand openings, Business After Hours, Gateway Farm Expo, the KACC Annual Meeting and the Kearney Golf Classic and by working on membership recruitment and retention.
Colonels are limited to one Colonel per business and 40 members. This group does have an small annual fee. To inquire about joining the Colonels, contact Josh Jelden at jjelden@kearneycoc.org.

Envoys

Meeting Schedule: 1st Tuesday of each month, rotating times
Envoys is a women’s group whose purpose is to serve as a public relations arm of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.
Envoys does this is by hosting a membership mixer, co-sponsoring the Tri-City Business After Hours attending and promoting ribbon cuttings, grand openings, Business After Hours, Gateway Farm Expo, the KACC Annual Meeting, Friend and Youth Friend of Kearney and the Buffalo County Fair, and by working on membership recruitment and retention.
Envoys are limited to one Envoy per business, but not limited on maximum members. This group does have an small annual fee. To inquire about joining the Envoy group, contact Jennie Nollette at

Young Professional Network

The Young Professional Network’s purpose is to empower future community leaders through professional development, personal growth and networking opportunities.
The Young Professional Network does this by providing networking opportunities, professional and personal development seminars and activities, and community service opportunities to benefit the Kearney Area.
This group is limited to younger professionals in the area but you do not have to be a Kearney Chamber Member to join. There is a small annual fee for this group.

LEADS Groups
The LEADS Groups purpose is to create a close-nit networking group of professionals in the area with the purpose of creating leads.
The group is mainly for professionals that rely on referrals (or leads). There is only one individual from any particular industry in each group so there is no overlapping. The group meets bi-weekly and gets to know each other and each other’s services very well with the intention being that any given individual in the group would feel comfortably referring a client, friend or family member to any other given individual in the group.
There can be as many LEADS Groups as needed at the Kearney Chamber. We currently have two. To inquire about joining a LEADS Group, contact Josh Jelden at jjelden@kearneycoc.org

Business Team
Kearney Hospitality Group

Meeting Schedule: 3rd Wednesday of each month at Noon
The Kearney Hospitality Group’s purpose is to increase the number of visitors to Kearney by marketing retail and tourism opportunities for conventions, festivals and special events.
The Kearney Hospitality Group does this by co-sponsoring the Crane Host Program, assisting other Chamber Committees with facilitating marketing communication of the Kearney area and providing input to the Kearney Visitor’s Bureau.

Sport and Recreation Committee

Meeting Schedule: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
The Sport and Recreation Committee’s purpose is to contribute to the economic well-being of the area by promoting Kearney as a greater Nebraska Sports Center emphasizing athletic events, recreational facilities and attractions.
The Sport and Recreation Committee does this by developing proposals that bring additional athletic events to Kearney, helping with events the Kearney Visitors Bureau brings to the Kearney Area, assisting with athletic organizations and hosting the kick-off luncheon for Kearney High, Kearney Catholic and UNK students.
This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.

Agriculture Committee

The Agriculture Committee’s purpose is to provide and support programs which promote agriculture and encourage urban/rural cooperation.
Some of the programs the Agriculture Committee is currently tied to are the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic, Gateway Farm Expo, Buffalo County 4-H, Nebraska Livestock Judging Classic as well as educational meetings.
