    First National Bank’s call center in Kearney first opened in 1992 as an outbound telemarketing facility for its credit card operations. In 1994, the center also began providing inbound customer service capabilities. Five years later, First National Bank ceased providing outbound telemarketing and dedicated the entire facility to inbound customer service.

    Good Samaritan Health Systems is a faith-based, nonprofit health care provider serving more than 355,000 people in an area that covers more than 38,300 square miles in central and western Nebraska and northern Kansas. The Kearney-based health system is a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the largest Catholic healthcare networks in the country.

    Specialized programs include a full-service cardiovascular care program, orthopedic and joint replacement services and a Level II Trauma Center.

    Good Samaritan Hospital is a medical/surgical, 207-bed facility. Services offered include the state’s first certified chest pain center, acute care, AirCare emergency helicopter service, permanent MRI, comprehensive neurosurgery, peripheral vascular surgery, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a 24-hour emergency room staff. Inpatient services include medicine, surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, and coronary intensive care. A new, stand-alone Cancer Center provides medical and radiation oncology and is accredited with American College of Surgeons.

    Good Samaritan's Richard H. Young Hospital is an 80-bed behavioral health facility offering inpatient, day and outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment for adults and adolescents.
