KACC AG COMMITTEE

AGRICULTURE.

Chair: Mat Cope - Cope Ag Services
Meeting Schedule: 3rd Thursday, every other month, at noon

The Agriculture Committee aims to provide and support programs that promote agriculture and encourage urban/rural cooperation. Some of the Agriculture Committee's programs are currently tied to the Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic, Gateway Farm Expo, Buffalo County 4-H, Nebraska Livestock Judging Classic, and educational meetings.

This committee is open to all Kearney Area Chamber Members. Other Partners in our Agriculture Team include Gateway Farm Expo, Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic, and 4-H Auction Committee.

Meeting Schedule: 1st Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

The Business & Education Committee's purpose is to advance opportunities for small businesses, promote diversity, and educate members about current trends and technologies. This group will also work to connect students with business and educational opportunities to equip and develop future leaders. This group also assists with the Junior Achievement program.



This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.

DIGITAL MARKETING CLUB.

Meeting Schedule: Quarterly

Digital Marketing Club provides workshops and webinars from experienced or high-level community members to provide the most up-to-date information on all things technology and social media!  Please contact the Chamber for more information.

Meeting Schedule: 2nd Thursday of each month, alternating times between Noon & 4:00 p.m.

The Kearney Hospitality & Events Group's purpose is to increase the number of visitors to Kearney by marketing retail and tourism opportunities for conventions, festivals, and special events.

The Kearney Hospitality & Events Group does this by assisting other Chamber Committees with facilitating marketing communication of the Kearney area and providing input to the Kearney Visitor’s Bureau. This committee is open to all Kearney Chamber Members.

Meeting Schedule: 2nd & 4th Thursday

The LEADS Groups' purpose is to create a close-nit networking group of professionals in the area with the purpose of creating increased business and revenue. 

LEADS is mainly for professionals that rely on referrals (or leads). There is only one individual from any particular industry in each group so there is no overlapping.

The group meets bi-weekly and gets to know each other and each other's services very well with the intention being that any given individual in the group would feel comfortably referring a client, friend or family member to any other given individual in the group. There can be as many LEADS Groups as needed at the Kearney Chamber. To inquire about joining a LEADS Group.

The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to monitor and initiate appropriate action on legislative matter which may impact the Kearney Area. The Legislative Committee does this by keeping chamber members aware of local, state and national political issues. Meeting Schedule: 4th Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

The purpose of the Senior Coalition is to offer monthly community education to the retired community. This committee is open to all retired (or age of retirement) Kearney Chamber members.
