Originally from the small town of Ravenna, NE, Jack Drahota has understood the importance of serving one’s community from an early age. Rural communities like the one he grew up in are heavily dependent upon the willingness of its citizens to help one another. In his Investor Relations role, Jack helps maintain strong connections between the Chamber and local businesses, assists with marketing and messaging materials, lends a hand to our team in completing and organizing various projects and events, and researches state and local policy that may impact the Kearney business community. 

With Jack’s passion for public service and strong communication skills, he is dedicated to executing the duties of his position to the best of his ability. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science From the University of Nebraska-Kearney in May 2024, and he intends to continue his education through the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Masters in Public Administration. His position at the chamber of commerce is the first job he has had in the non-profit sector and he is excited by the valuable experience he will gain through working at the chamber. He competed as a Track and Field athlete at UNK for 4 years and has developed  discipline, focus and perseverance through his experience. In 2023, he earned all-american honors in the 4x400 meter relay. 

Outside of the chamber, Jack enjoys playing a variety of sports, reading, traveling and spending lots of time with friends and family. In the past, he has coached younger track athletes individually, and he intends to continue to do this after graduation as a side passion.
