30 Years of Exploring Careers and Inspiring Futures!

What an incredible day celebrating 30 years of Career Exploration Day!

On October 14, 2026, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee, alongside the Nebraska National Guard, proudly hosted the 30th Annual Career Exploration Day, bringing together students, educators, and businesses from across Nebraska!

This year's event was another great success!

Over 1,000 attendees from 36 schools, some traveling more than three hours to participate!
35 businesses representing a variety of industries through more than 70 interactive exhibits.
Students ranging from 7th grade through high school seniors, exploring career opportunities and discovering potential paths for their futures.
Three 45-minute career panel sessions, each featuring six different professionals sharing their experiences, career journeys, and advice across a variety of career fields.

From hands-on activities and interactive exhibits to meaningful conversations with industry professionals, students had the opportunity to see firsthand the many career possibilities available to them, including opportunities right here in central Nebraska!

For 30 years, Career Exploration Day has helped bridge the gap between education and the workforce, connecting students with businesses and opening their eyes to careers they may have never considered.

We couldn't do this without the incredible support of our participating businesses, sponsors, volunteers, educators, and the dedicated Business & Education Committee (see bottom of article). Your willingness to invest in our future workforce is what makes this event so special!
