Coffee was on at The Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Kearney December 3rd for Coffee and Company!
Since 1954, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes to use sports to see the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA impacts people on multiple levels like professional, college, high school, junior high, and youth levels. FCA focuses on serving local communities and branching out to other communities by equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire, and change the world through the gospel.
Many coaches across the area bring the athletes in their huddles to events like Weekend of Champions or Fields of Faith to develop habits that will lead young athletes towards reading the bible or listening to the gospel.
The addition of our new Kearney Area Representative, TJ Rexilius, has lent a hand in multiplying the capacity of relationships athletes develop with coaches. Out of the 61 high schools in West Central Nebraska, 30 have FCA huddles for high school athletes and 8 huddles for junior high athletes. 116 coaches are connected area wide with the addition of more staff in the future.
