As General Manager, Payton sets the tone for one of Kearney's favorite places to catch a game, and she does it with the kind of warmth that turns first-time visitors into regulars.

"You never know someone's story," Payton says, "and I love getting to talk to strangers that leave friends!" That genuine curiosity and hospitality make Fanatics feel like more than just a place to eat. It's a place to connect.

From Gretna to Kearney

Payton grew up in Gretna, Nebraska, and came to Kearney for college. During her sophomore year, she picked up a part-time serving job at Fanatics, and she never looked back. After graduating, she earned her real estate license and continued working full-time at the bar, eventually stepping into the role of General Manager.

Why She Loves What She Does

For Payton, the job is about the people.

"I love working here because of all the friendships I have made along the way," she shares. "Whether that is with my coworkers or customers, they are some of the most valued relationships in my life!" She also thrives on the energy of the job itself, from the fast-paced environment to the chance to show off her skills on a busy game night.

Off the Clock

When Payton isn't running the show at Fanatics, you'll probably find her on the golf course, enjoying one of her favorite ways to spend time in Kearney.
