A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Friday, May 20th to celebrate Optical Gallery’s new office location at 5403 N Avenue in Kearney. Click here for the Facebook video of the ceremony.
Dr. Mandy Johnson, O.D. gave a special recognition to Dr. Dennis Sherrerd, O.D., who took her in right out of school and sold her the business upon his retirement. She also thanked her husband, two boys and parents for their continuing support throughout her journey. She thanked her crew and mentioned that the women she works with are like a second family.
Her recognition went on to include BD Construction for the amazing job they did, as well as Johnson Landscaping. Johnson stated, “I do appreciate everything Kearney does to support small businesses, its very important to keep the community growing overall.” Johnson completed her undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry. She is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
