The first annual Taste Kearney - Restaurant Week was held from September 18-23. Over 20 local Kearney businesses took part to showcase some of the best our community has to offer. The goal of Taste Kearney - Restaurant Week was to let restaurants and bars promote their business and encourage patrons to Eat Local.

Participating businesses were encouraged to create special menu items not available on the regular menu. Patrons were spoiled with countless options of delicious food, desserts, and drinks.

The Taste Kearney Tailgate kicked off the week at the home Loper football game on Saturday. Businesses like Smallcakes of Kearney, Pinon Market, the Kearney Country Club, Cunningham’s, and MK’s Koffee & Kones brought delectable treats and entrees to Loper fans!

Sunday Family Dinner was all about family. It was the perfect day to take your family out to enjoy the weather and eat a meal together!

Make a Difference Monday was a food war! Patrons were encouraged to bring canned food items to be donated to the local food bank.

Take Out Tuesday embraced the busy lifestyle many folks live and motivated patrons to take their meal on the go!

Workplace Wednesday and Date Night brought everyone out for Taste Kearney! Co-workers spent their lunch break together for Workplace Wednesday. During Date Night, you were able to grab a rose provided by Diva’s Floral to give to your special someone!

Thirsty Thursday wrapped up the week by encouraging everyone to grab their favorite drink -- whether it was a smoothie, coffee, beer, or cocktail. Thanks Brix, Thunderhead, Gillie’s, and Play Pen Lounge for participating!

Eat. Drink. Repeat. Taste Kearney!
