The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee, hosted Ag Appreciation Night with the Tri-City Storm on Tuesday, March 19th. With March being Ag Appreciation Month, members of the agriculture community joined together to celebrate and appreciate agriculture. The event also raised money for the Chamber’s Ag Scholarship Fund, which awards two scholarships every year to students from Buffalo or Kearney counties who are planning on pursuing a career in Agriculture.
Everyone enjoyed food, drinks and socializing before the game against the Lincoln Stars. During the game, committee members sold raffle tickets for a chance to “split the pot.” The night wrapped up with an exciting victory against Lincoln with a score of 4-2! Go Storm!
During the event, thoughts and concern were also expressed for fellow farmers, ranchers and everyone impacted by the recent flooding. Thanks to the sponsors and those who attended for making the event possible and for supporting Nebraska Agriculture and the Chamber’s Ag Scholarship Fund.
