Kearney wouldn't be the amazing community it is without the productivity of the agricultural providers in the area. The Ag Committee at the Chamber acknowledges and pays a special visit to these harvesters each year with a program called "Thank a Farmer". This program allows volunteers to bring donated meals out to the farmers as a gesture of appreciation. Sponsorships are available to support this program, Ag Appreciation Week in March, and the Ag Scholarships the committee rewards to students in Buffalo County pursuing ag-related degrees.
This year, the committee delivered to eleven different locations with over 80 meals! Sponsorships raised over $4500 in gross profits!
