GB - Compute North

Compute North hosted their Groundbreaking Ceremony on August 14, 2019 at their new location: 3215 Global Drive Place.

Compute North helps investors and enthusiasts who trade in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The data center will help cryptocurrency investors with transactions and by storing records of those transactions.

Compute North, based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is building a 5-acre tract in the Tech oNE Crossing tech park located on Antelope Avenue and 56th Street. The $7.65 million data center is the third facility in that area. Nebraska Public Power District will build a substation to provide energy for the data center as Compute North is expected to become one of NPPD’s top electrical consumers in Kearney.

As an industry leader in high-powered large-scale data infrastructure will establish Kearney as a critical location to expand the space for the next generation of computing technologies. Compute North delivers high-performance infrastructure and management services for blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cryptocurrency.

The addition of the Compute North data center will boost the tract’s attractiveness for other high-tech companies, especially to the science and technology programs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
