Leadership Partner /lēdərˌSHip pärtnər/: A business or organization who makes an annual non-dues voluntary investment to help the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce reach new programming goals by investing additional funds, and at the same time helping the Chamber organization keep their overall dues at a manageable amount for members.

Doug and Heather are co-owners of Affiliated Brokers Insurance and purchased the business on January 1, 2003. Affiliated Brokers Insurance was started in 1984.
"We had the opportunity to purchase an existing business and both wanted to stay in Kearney as Heather has family here. We also thought Kearney was a great place to raise a family. We were recently married when we purchased the insurance agency. I always joke that we bought a business before we built a house!"
Why Kearney? What makes it HOME for you?
"Kearney has so much to offer! We have a great school and university system, many restaurants to choose from, and great venues for entertainment. Our favorite restaurants to enjoy a meal are Cunningham’s on the Lake or Alley Rose. We try to catch a play every year at either the Merryman or Kearney Community Theatre. Fun fact, we got engaged on stage at the Kearney Community Theatre many years ago! While Kearney continues to grow, the same values have stayed the same. We try to support our local businesses as much as possible. There are so many community organizations to be involved in to help our community grow and prosper. "
