Brewing Things the Right Way at Mac's Creek

Updated: Sep 20, 2019

If you love locally made Nebraska wine, you are probably a fan of Mac’s Creek. With over 10,000 followers on their Facebook page and many reviews claiming Mac’s Creek as the best kept secret in Nebraska, you will definitely want to check out this local business. Opened in 2001, Mac’s Creek has been family owned and operated from their original location in Lexington. They work hard to produce consistent product with a unique taste, but we think they say it best when they say “there are easier ways to make wine. There are cheaper ways to make wine. That’s not how we do things at Mac’s Creek. We’re committed to sustainable craftsmanship. Committed to doing things the right way, the best way that we know how.”

You can visit Mac’s Creek at their booth during Oktoberfest this year where they will have an exciting addition that you can’t find outside of their winery. They will be making the Kearney debut of their newest product: beer! Seth and the rest of the Mac’s Creek crew have been hard at work perfecting the recipe and are now serving at their winery & brewery in Lexington. They will not be distributing their beer nor will they have it be a guest tap anywhere else, so be sure to stop by their booth to try their great flavors.

In case you were wondering why we are sharing all this info, we are gearing up for Oktoberfest and will be sharing the background of each of our breweries and food vendors attending! Seth McFarland, owner and head winemaker/brewer at Mac’s Creek, says he loves attending events like Oktoberfest because they are centered around the process and the individual businesses. It gives a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on how each brewer crafts their specialty products.

For more about Mac’s Creek you can visit their website here or their Facebook page.
