The Pathway by 281 Studios hosted their Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, June 4th at the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Pathway is a video series that serves as an access point to the world of work in Nebraska. Owner of 281 Studios, Anthony Pingel, created The Pathway with two key goals in mind - to help the youth of our state successfully navigate Nebraska's labor market and to give insight to job seekers on opportunities and careers available to them. The Pathway also helps employers fill jobs. One of the biggest problems facing employers today is that there are not enough qualified/skilled workers to fill the positions open at their businesses. The Pathway helps people find jobs, explore career options, and discover what skills they need to take on certain careers. So far they have created episodes featuring the following businesses: Good Samaritan Society, Five Points Bank of Hastings, Centennial Plastics, Inc., and many others! They will be featuring Kearney area businesses starting in the fall of 2019 and will be working with ESU 10 in Kearney, as well.
281 Studios was founded as an advertising agency in Hastings, NE in 2013. Since then, they have evolved into a full service agency with the ability to take on a single project or an entire marketing strategy with a specialization in video production. After working on projects promoting jobs and opportunities in other communities, Anthony Pingel decided that it was time to highlight businesses in his neck of the woods. Anthony and his team developed The Pathway concept and decided to send him to work at businesses to find out what job opportunities are available and what education, skills, and training employees must have to be successful in the world of work.
