Eaton Corporation was awarded the August Doing Business Award. Colonels Chairman, Josh Jelden, presented the award to Human Resources Manager, Tom Anderson and other Eaton employees. One of those employees has been employed with Eaton for 34 years. After the award was presented, the Colonels listened to a short presentation about the Eaton facility in Kearney and how the business was started.
Eaton opened their first plant in 1911 to produce the very first gear driven truck axle. Now more than a century later their single plant has grown into a corporation of over 400 plants in 175 nations worldwide. The Kearney facility, who received the Doing Business Award, is celebrating their fiftieth year in business. We are proud to have Eaton as one of the top manufacturing employers in our city.
