Kearney Area Job Fair Scheduled for August 6 at New SportsPlex

Kearney, NE – In response to the recent layoff announcement from Eaton Corporation, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Kearney and the Development Council for Buffalo County, will host a Kearney Area Job Fair on Wednesday, August 6, at the Kearney SportsPlex.

The event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

2:00–4:00 p.m. – Open exclusively to affected employees from Eaton and Technique Surfaces USA
4:00–6:00 p.m. – Open to the general public

This event is free to attend and is designed to connect job seekers with immediate employment opportunities as well as supportive resources. In addition to businesses hiring, we welcome organizations offering services such as financial planning, benefits counseling, leadership development, mental health resources, coaching, and workforce training.

Thanks to the City of Kearney, the event will be hosted at the brand-new Kearney SportsPlex, which will accommodate many organizations. Setup begins at 1:00 p.m. Tables and chairs will be provided.

This event is open to Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce members as well as non-members who do business in the Kearney area.

If your business is unable to attend the Job Fair, we are accepting one-page flyers that will be displayed on a table for job seekers to pick up. Suggested quantity is 250.
