The June Spotlight Business of the Month was presented to Big Apple Fun Center of Kearney. The Business & Education committee felt the Big Apple was deserving of the spotlight award as it has recently gone under renovations and an expansion to include a new indoor Go-Kart track. Owner Kenny Owen said the new Go-Kart track opened in May, 2021 and has been very popular with all ages. The electric Go-Kart track is part of the 25,000 sq foot addition to the Big Apple Fun Center and adds yet another attraction to the Big Apple along with bowling, ballocity, laser tag, miniature golf and sand volleyball. The bar area has also been through a re-design and rennovation to include more tables and seating, TVs, pool tables and shuffle board tables. The Business & Education committee’s purpose it to advance opportunities for small business, promote diversity and educate members about current trends and technologies. The group also works to connect students with business and educational opportunities to equip and develop future leaders.
